Thursday evening
Every day when we seem to have reached an all time low is followed by a day when a day when life seems better … and vice versa. Today was a day for finding out solutions. Such as what the medical situation needs to be before she can go to the rehab ward; we sorted out some of the complexities of organising caring assistance and equipment for when Pikey comes home.
We saw Dr Brodison today and although he was good on the medical side he does not have good bedside manner and is extremely hard to get him to answer questions. Maybe like some “top quacks” he doesn’t like being quizzed by mere mortals.
He is totally different from Dr Howarth the Lancaster haematologist who saw Pikey today (without Robert) and who is absolutely charming and treats you as an equal …. not easy when Robert sets such a high standard – or thinks he does!!!!
But all in all a progressive day.
Robert as greatly helped by the presence of Kate with whom he could discuss things. She goes home to Bonnie Scotland tomorrow.
Loads of ♥♥♥♥♥♥ from Robert and Pikey
This blog is usually published every Friday (tea-time-ish) to keep you up to date with the goings on of and thoughts from one old codger at Summerhill Stables and one still in Ward 4 at Royal Lancaster Infirmary.
