Saturday evening.
Pikey had a really rough night in the new ward. The night staff were really unsympathetic and would not let her go to the loo and insisted she used a bedpan which is extremely painful due to all the operations on her spine. The reason given as that getting to the loo would wake up the other patients!!
Robert hit the roof when he heard this and tried all morning to get her out of the hospital and into the private one over the road. It turned out that medically she is not yet quite well enough to do that although she is pretty good on her legs now.
Any way we had it out with the day staff who were really nice and hopefully all has calmed down now but it was a fairly fraught day to say the least.
Elinor was a great help in getting the situation sorted.
