Medical update No 8 - Friday evening.
Robert went to see Pikey again this afternoon. She's now been in the RLI for a whole week and they still don't seem to have quite pinned down the type of infection nor its cause.
They repeated to me what they said yesterday that (and I quote yesterday's blog) "the pneumonia has not responded as the medics had hoped and she is being set of on another route once some new cultures of her blood have been grown and examined".
So she won't be out until next Friday at the earliest. She's being very patient but is not getting the best possible care because she's in a small ward detached from the main ward and from the nurses' station which makes summoning help not the easiest especially when her lower bodily functions are not entirely under control.
All news as and when it breaks.
Loads of ♥♥♥♥♥♥ from Robert and Pikey
