Medical update No 22 – Friday
Just when you things couldn’t get worse they managed to fail to support her during a transfer from the commode back to her bed and she fell onto the floor between the two and onto the footrests of her wheelchair. As you will probably know multiple myeloma causes your bone structure to degrade and we were very lucky that no bones were broken even though her legs buckled back underneath her.
Robert has managed to achieve hundreds if not thousands of transfers since she broke her right leg so badly without mishap; maybe he ought to retrain as a male nurse.
Not surprisingly after that and last night’s efforts she as pretty knackered when Elinor and Robert went to see her this afternoon but she as a little perkier this evening when Robert went in.
