The first stage of our building works have been completed and both dry stone walls are up and solid. The next stage, hopefully next week, is to re-seat the ridge tiles on the house.

The drive wall restored.

No real news as we have been “confined to barracks” this week as Pikey has been suffering some nasty little side effects from the new chemo. We’ve had what could be described as “a bad week” but the worst seems to be over now – hopefully.

Two jokes which cheered us both up; the first ……………….
An eminent doctor addressing a conference in Oxford said
The material we put into our stomachs should have killed most of us sitting here, years ago. Red meat is full of steroids and dye. Soft drinks corrode your stomach lining. Chinese food is loaded with MSG. High transfat diets can be disastrous and none of us realises the long-term harm caused by the germs in our drinking water. But, there is one thing that is the most dangerous of all and most of us have, or will eat it. Can anyone here tell me what food it is that causes the most grief and suffering for years after eating it?"
After several seconds of quiet, a 70-year-old man in the front row raised his hand, and softly said “Wedding Cake”.

The second one………..
A wife asks her husband "Could you please go shopping for me and buy one carton of milk, and if they have eggs, get six!"
A short time later the husband comes back with six cartons of milk.
The wife asks him, "Why on earth did you buy six cartons of milk?"
He replied, "They had eggs."

Loads of ♥♥♥♥♥♥ from Robert and Pikey
