Medical update No 3

Robert went to see Pikey this afternoon and she looked somewhat better although still on an oxygen mask. Robert spoke with the doctor who told him the pneumonia infection was caused the most common streptococcal virus which was the easiest to combat as it responds to most antibiotics.

The real problem is that the lady in the bed next door is about nineteen shillings short of a pound and spent the whole of last night asking (at the top of her voice) to go home. "Home" is a nursing home in Morecambe. She was also convinced that Robert was a man who often came to the nursing home to look after some of the equipment there!

Luckily since Robert got home he has had a phone call from the hospital to say that Pikey is being transferred to a "normal" ward. So she might get a night's rest. Let's just all hope that the potty one doesn't go there as well.

The phone number will stay the same although there could be delay in transferring it - just like BT!!!!
