On Monday morning we both went to see the nurse at the local GP surgery for tests before the heart clinic next month. All seemed to be well with blood pressure and urine samples. Then we had to dash over to Barrow in Furness to see Pikey's haematological consultant. The news there wasn't quite so positive as the nasty protein count had risen ever so slightly so there may be some more chemo treatment looming in the future. However we are not due to see him again until January - so no real panics yet.
Robert has been digging deeper into the his family roots and was delighted to discover that the great grandfather of his grandmother was a pawn broker in Newcastle. That was something his grandmother on his mother's side either did not know about or kept very quiet about. For those of you who do not know, Granny Leslie-Jones was not the most un-snobby person on this planet.
Some one sent us a very amusing web site and if you really want to waste a few moments go to www.nobodyhere.com/toren.hier Just run the mouse over the bears - no need to click - at least kids will enjoy it!!
Pikey went to quilting on Tuesday and is now completing a very nice kangaroo bag - pictures and explanation next week.
No snow yet but it was minus 6 this morning when Robert went to get Low Bottom's papers. Brrrrrrrrrr!
Loads of ♥♥♥♥♥♥ from Robert and Pikey
