Pikey went to see her haematologist in Barrow on Monday. We hadn't been to see him since December due to snow in January and then to her hospitalisation. He reassured us that, if the bones didn't mend in her leg, they could be pinned as the myeloma is rarely present in bones below the knee. That was reassuring and Pikey is seeing if she can go private if she needs the operation to pin her bones.
Elinor and Phil are away on Holiday on Exmoor and went to see Wooda this week. For those of you who don't know Wooda is near Hartland in North Devon and is where we were going to retire to. It's quite lucky we didn't as the medical assistance down there would be infinitely more difficult to get than it is up here in the frozen North. They were shown round by the present owners and are bringing loads of pictures back.
As David Tipping is away Robert has been left in charge of overseeing the installation of the new sewage system for the complex. It's all going to plan so far and has not rained at the wrong time although the pit they dug on Wednesday did suffer a major collapse in the night but they got the plant in before it tipped down last night.
Robert lived up to his promise not to watch a single minute of that damn FIFA World Cup. Someone wrote in the Daily Telegraph "It's lucky the Germans don't play cricket". Actually they are not that bright as this short video of the real Great Escape demonstrates:-
