Not terribly good news today.
We went to see the orthopaedic surgeon this morning who four weeks ago had said that Pikey could possibly have a pot with a hinge at the knee to replace the full length pot she has had for two months now. However when the old pot was taken off it was clear that the bones had not mended so on went a new full length pot for another four weeks. A bitter blow although we have got the commode routine and Pikey living downstairs off to a tee now. Any hopes of getting away this summer seem to have disappeared completely.
Edward started his new job as an editor at the Wall Street Journal on Monday but we haven't heard how he got on yet.
Robert has been trapping rabbits (humanely we hasten to add) and taking them away up the lane and relocating them about a mile away – hopefully permanently. The score to date is five rabbits caught and relocated, one rabbit caught but escaped, one hedgehog caught and released in the garden and one grey squirrel caught but escaped.

We have been seeing a deer in the next door field quite a bit recently and Robert got this picture of it from our drive.
Loads of ♥♥♥♥♥♥ from Robert and Pikey
