Another of Pikey’s great great uncles, Rev Frederic Walker Joy was Vicar of .. guess where... from 1884-1893 …… Bentham!!! Robert unearthed this yesterday afternoon. He then went on to be Vicar of Tatham just down the Lune Valley for another nine years. We can hear the bells of St John’s, Low Bentham from the house and never ever dreamt that there was a connection. Genealogy must be like gardening if you dig enough you are sure to turn up something good.
Elinor and Phil are safely back from their walk from Lake Geneva to Nice - a bit thinner!!
Believe it or not as you will, someone actually sent me a shaggy dog story over the internet which was 24 (yes 24!) pages long. I refrained (just) from putting it on here.
Brindley absolutely hates going to the vet so we thought his cartoon from The Oldie was apt.
Pikey had a new input of blood yesterday as she was pretty anaemic and we hope that this will boost her metabolism and make her less tired.
This week it has rained and rained and rained and rained and rained and rained and rained and rained and rained and rained and rained and rained and rained and rained!
Loads of ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ Robert and Pikey.
P.S. It’s still raining.

That is a very cool Bentham connection! Have you ever been inside? Do you have interest in attending a service now?
Your rain report v. funny too.
Glad E & P back safe and sound and I am rooting for the blood to kick Pikey into high gear.
xoxo from here.
