All the news (good or bad) from Summerhill Stables

When I put a picture of the Barton Grange urinals on the blog last week, Susie the hawkeyed daughter-in-law and blogger from New York put the picture on one of her incomprehensible web sites in the Big Apple with a link to this blogspot. So I had an incredible number of hits – so many that we really thought someone out there really cared – actually looking at the site meter Robert hasn’t got the foggiest who they all were and they must have found "News from Summerfield Stables" pretty boring as they didn’t have the foggiest idea who we were either!!! So here’s another crazy picture for you, Susie, do with it what you will!!!

Pikey’s middle sister Joy was with us last week and she did sterling work in the house and the garden under Pikey’s close supervision – as ever!!! Robert knows what it feesl like. She went home to Canada on Tuesday and it was great fun seeing her again. We now await the visit of Joy’s daughter, husband, mother-in-law and six month old baby to stay - that should test Robert’s housekeeping skills.

Pikey saw her haematologist today and he was pleased with her remission which is still holding up. He has taken her off the chemo (which was making her feel so nauseous) but left her on the thalidomide which just makes her sleepy. This was really cheering news.
