Apologies to everyone who reads this blog. I have included funny pictures and jokes and maybe I have upset some readers by being sexist, shallow and senophobic (Yeah, Yeah even Robert knows it’s spelt with an "x" but for alliteration’s sake….). Please accept my humblest apologies.
From now on I will only include items with a cultural or educational content. Attached at the bottom of this post is a picture of the Pont Neuf Bridge in Paris.For those of you who are interested, Pont Neuf is the oldest bridge in Paris and took 26 years to build. Construction began in 1578 and ended in 1604. "Le Pont Neuf" is actually made of 2 independent bridges, one with seven arches and the other with five arches. Now isn’t that fascinating?
"Physician heal thyself" and "Cobblers’ children ill-shod" and other well-known phrases spring to mind when we tell you that Robert’s operation has been postponed to May 24th because the surgeon cut himself (and presumably the patient) during an operation. This is not the most encouraging news to hear before you sink into an anaesthetic sleep. Something about lack of total confidence leaps into view. Thank God, Robert isn’t being circumcised (again!!!).
So we had to reschedule all the kind people who were booked in to nurse us over the month of May. Luckily the news dates meant that neither Edward from New york nor the Browns from Warwickshire had to be moved but it did mean hauling Kate down from Dundee – she wasn’t coming earlier because the earlier date clashed with Charlie’s exams. But in less than 24 hours and more than 24 e-mails it is all sorted.
We saw the community physiotherapist who is in charge of teaching Pikey to walk again on Monday and he was very encouraging. The rest of the week has been taken up with getting ready to go into hospital…nuff said.

HA! You got me with the bridge set up. Good one. And as for the operation, make sure the doctor isn't drunk during your operation. Just ask before he puts you under... doctors never mind that. :)
Good to hear you are in good spirits - although the health is a bit dodgy. As you live at The Stables - is Roberts Doctor a Vet?

If he was a vet Robert might feel a trifle more confident because they have a longer training period than a doctor!! The bridge is at the top and the bottom's at the bottom.
