Pikey has had her last radiotherapy session. That itself has not caused any traumatic side effects. However the combination of wearing her brace over her caliper was so uncomfortable over the area of her second (or was it third?) operation that we took a unilateral decision to stop using the brace a week earlier than the surgeon wanted. She just has to remember that she must not put any weight on her right leg until the beginning of June. Meanwhile the chemotherapy seems to have reduced the growth on her temple. So looks fairly positive in a comparative sort of way.

Elinor and Phil came back from Scotland having had glorious weather and bags of snow on the many Munroes they scaled with crampons and ice axes they bought in Fort William.

Following Kate’s divorce the hoped for sale of their old house fell through on Thursday but they have three viewers on Sunday and one on Monday - so here’s hoping.

We have just heard that Tony (of Robyn and Tony fame) has had a promotion at work – great.

Yesterday Kate and Nicko Franks came to stay for the night on their way to Ilkley for his youngest brother’s sixtieth birthday bash. David and Margaret Tipping next door came into coffee to meet them as they had spent 2 years in Bhutan some time ago and Nicko’s middle brother is out there at the moment and Nicko and Kate were out there recently. Robert, for once, had little to add to the discussion over David photo album of their stay in Bhutan.

Warning the next post on this blog will be on Thursday next week as Robert goes into hospital that afternoon for his op on Friday. He seems to have passed his pre-op examination OK.
