Monday evening.

I saw Pikey this afternoon. They did not operate today as promised. So understandably Pikey was pretty miffed to say the least.

So I went in this afternoon to pour oil on the troubled waters and Elinor is due in this evening on her way back from work in Warrington.

Presumably it will happen tomorrow – today she had seen the anaesthetist and had been dressed in an operating gown and the op was only cancelled at the last moment. One person on the same ward actually got down to the doors of the operating theatre itself before she was turned back!!! At least it’s free!!!!

All in all a pretty upsetting experience; she has been four whole days waiting now. Is this record? Not bloody likely. At least she’s in a bed and not on a trolley in a corridor.
