We’ve made the big time as we seem to have struck a chord at the Met – the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York. Susie was strolling through the galleries when she spotted the picture of Elinor on the top of Steeple taken by Phil and first published on this blog site only last week. So she took a snap of some New Yorkers gazing at this photographic masterpiece. What a coup to have one’s blog snap hung in the Met.

We have had a reassuring week. On Tuesday Robert went to a one-stop Urology Clinic and had things and fingers pushed into and up unmentionable places with the result that there was nothing wrong that the girls could find although he has to go back for a repeat performance in three months time. What a bore but very different. As he said to the nurses "It’s at times like this that I wish I was a girl" – he was swiftly put in his place. Was that really sexist? Or was it just a statement of fact?

Well, we’re off to Dumfries after lunch today for a week coming back next Friday. Taking Brindley with us but leaving Pompey in the local cattery. Hopefully we’ll be back in time to do the blog at the normal time.

Take care.

All our love

Robert and Pikey
