This is the third picture of a grandchild and a pet. Charlie last week was on his beloved bike and maybe he thinks it's a pet - we don't think it really qualifies. If he doesn't he'll have to send us a suitable photo. Also we haven't featured Gemma with a pet and no doubt Robyn can supply a suitable piccy.
In the picture Patrick is with Penny on the way up or down Carn na Caim which is a Munro just west of the A9 between Pitlochry and Aviemore off the Pass of Drumochter. Its height is 941 metres.
We had a really quite a good week until early this morning when Pikey went down with an horrendous tummy bug caused we think by a pork chop we had last night. Robert is fine but poor Pikey is really low and Robert has to help her out of bed onto the loo and back into bed in between doing the washing. The quack came and said that her lack of naturally produced steroids will make the recovery rather slow. But he has given her some pills and told us what to do. The real trouble is that her resistance to any sort of bug or infection is virtually zero. Heigh ho.
Now for the good news. Jill, Robert's first wife, has at last moved into a new house in Norwich and Kate is bringing her two cats down from Dundee by train (the East Coast line!!) today - they have been in a cattery for five months. Edward and Susie have solved their baby sitter problem and so that nightmare is over especially as Susie is due back at work this month.
Love to all from
Staff nurse Robert and patient number 02041945.
