This week has been a recovery week. We both thought unthinkingly that as Pikey had her last chemo injection on the Friday of last week she would be fine and dandy this week. but, of course, she still had to have the recovery period from that injection.

However she has had a good week all in all. She went out on a jolly with two of her mates from quilting yesterday and spent quite a lot of dosh at a local clothing discount outlet - Robert is grateful that it's all on sale or return as she usually sends everything back.

Today was the first day of Elinor's fourteen month maternity layoff so the three of us went out to a super local garden centre to celebrate that and our wedding anniversary on Saturday - 39 years of Pikey putting up with Robert. We then went on to Glasson Dock at the mouth of the Lune. We looked out across the Irish Sea and a wonderful sun and rain filled view.

Maybe this is the recipe for those 39 years of happiness??

God! We've had some rain this week!!!

Loads of love from Pikey and Robert
