Pikey started her chemo this week and so far – touch wood – it’s going fine. Just anti-sickness treatment (which costs £100 for six tablets and she has two a day!!) and an injection of Velcade (the cost of which is astronomical).
She had the first session on Tuesday at Barrow and today’s at Royal Lancaster Infirmary. Next week Tuesday and Friday at Lancaster and then a week off!! Then the cycle starts again.
Our advice to all UK taxpayers is to keep earning and, more importantly, paying tax – Robert still does the latter while Pikey gets a tax rebate – something wrong there!
Life has really changed for the better lately what with Susie and Elinor both expecting and Kate getting remarried and transforming herself into Mrs Andrew Boyson. All good things come in threes.
We thought you would like this cartoon which has been sanitised in case Hugo or Annie are shown the blog - the original text contained the F-word.

So glad the chemo has started well - and the three bits of good news so casually passed on! Great - we do need the cheerier things to focus on; congrats all round. You are much in my thoughts and prayers at the moment, Love, Diana.
