Are the Chinese ready for the Olympics? Part 1

Robert tried to get the radiographers in the hospital to produce a picture of his tripartite patella but they said that couldn’t do so without opening him up again so he declined – coward. However we found a picture of one on the internet - where else – and it looks remarkably like the sketch the surgeon drew for him.
Pikey went to see her haematologist on Wednesday and got a good report and she is clear for four weeks when she has to go back as they are not allowed to dispense more than 28 days worth of thalidomide at a time.
On Thursday she went to see her orthopaedic surgeon who was rather cautious and said that she should not put weight on her right leg for another four weeks – what a bore. She will have done 6 months in a wheelchair by then.
Edward went back to the States on Monday and Kate (with Patrick) came that afternoon to take over caring duties.
Today Robert had his staples out – the district nurse had to tell him to breathe while he did it – what a wimp. He can now have a shower at last.
We are still desperate for a decent shower of rain.
Loads of ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ Robert and Pikey.
