The narrowing of credits at the end of a film to half the width of the television screen just when you are trying to check the cast list.
We survived last week really quite well and are getting into the swing of being a 2-person 3-legged family. Pikey actually got out into the garden on her Ferrari on Saturday which was the only dry day last week. Monday was horrendous and the beck which runs under our drive flooded over the drive; but it went down as quickly as it came up. A bit like something else……
Pikey has improved over the last week and can flex her knee quite well now – the cast keeps it in a vertical plane but allows movement in that plane. Robert has resigned himself to a long wait for his knee op but has extracted some stronger pain killers from the doctor.
Pikey has been sewing like mad; the upstairs sewing room (which Robert thinks should be a model train room) is a real blessing. If we are upstairs we can see who’s at the door or coming up the drive through the CCTV cameras on the front of the house. As Brindley barks at the slightest noise it’s very useful and avoids Robert having to rush (if he can) downstairs to see who (if anybody) is at the front door.
What would you rather have a child or a dog? Take your pick.
