We have had a good week.
On Wednesday we went to see Pikey's consultant haematologist at Barrow and he told us that her results were still fine.
He agreed that she could come off the low but continuous dose of steroids she has been on for many months. This is really good news as it has caused her to put a lot of weight and has given her a hamster-like face. This latter effect should fade fairly quickly although losing the weight may be another matter altogether.
She has finished her latest quilt and the picture shows it in all its glory. This is one of two she has finished since Christmas.
The big house in the complex has been sold, subject to contract, so we await new neighbours over the back wall.
The weather contiues to amaze and Robert saw a rhododendron in full bloom on the way to Carnforth this week - all our snowdrops are out as was a clump of crocuses (surely that should be croci) at the hospital.

Never "blogged" before, feel very avant garde! Beautiful work on the quilt Pikey! Very prolific - second piece since Christmas no less! For the record....enjoy your blog, especially the jokes. Very cold but clear skies here in Vancouver today. Received email from Mum & Dad this morn...Mum's on the mend and has been advised by her physician she'll need another replacement shortly on the other side as that joint as well is wearing down. All the best, Karelyn, Barry, Emma & Megan. If I can figure out how to send a pic of the girls will attempt to try it out once my "technical support" arrives home from work.
