We’ve had a mixed week; only three hospital trips - one jointly to Barrow and two for Robert to his cardiac rehab in Kendal- so at least he had Monday and Friday off!!

Since Pikey’s right foot has been in its pot her left leg has swollen up and she has been put on diuretics and into flight socks – no the best thing in the heat. She has been resting it today and it is better but we are waiting a date for a scan on it to see if there is more of a problem than just over exertion while the other leg is in the pot – this was organised by the Pikey’s nice specialist at Barrow.

When we went to see the specialist on Wednesday Robert took Brindley for a long walk on Duddon Sands and also collected the trailer for Pikey’s Ferrari which you will see in the picture.

As you can see the roses are still wonderful. Incidentally there were three baby swallows in the nest not just the two in last week's picture and they all flew on Saturday morning in the rain!!

Lots of love from Pikey and Robert
