While Robert’s in hospital for his new right hip Robyn has been promoted to acting temporary unpaid editor of this blog.
Probably more importantly we have full time live-in carers coming in 24/7 (as they say – whoever ‘they’ are). The first one is with us from today until February 16. She is from Zimbabwe – not directly she’s married and lives in London, has a First Class degree in accountancy and delights in the name of Moby – so what - Auriole Patricia is known as Pikey! Moby is short for Moreblessing which was her actual name. She’s the youngest of seven children.
On Monday we went to see Pikey’s neurosurgeon in Blackburn who was quite encouraging as he thought, albeit without an X-ray, that her new back pain was more likely to be muscular based and suggested that what with Robert’s trip to hospital that it was most sensible to continue with the treatment by Sainte Marie.
The drive back from Blackburn up the M6 in the evening rush hour frightened us to death. That was on the four lane section between Junctions 31 and 32 where cars overtake you on both sides. How Elinor and Phil did it - and still do it some days - it coming home from the Environment Agency Offices at Junction 30 and remain sane escapes us. Never ever again!!
We had thought of promoting Sainte Marie to a higher rank as she has been so successful in relieveing Pikey’s pain to, say, Cardinal or even Pope but having googled “Pope Joan” we decided not to – why someone hasn’t made a film of Pope Joan yet escapes Robert – it’s a rollicking yarn but he supposes the Catholic hierarchy would go bananas if some one did.
What do you think this is? Robert made it.
Loads of ♥♥♥♥♥♥ from Robert and Pikey

Amazing job! Are you taking dictation? I could not detect a change at the masthead.

Oh and that is a brilliant toy for Adam. Right? You could make a mint selling them at upscale toy fairs.
