Robert saw his orthopaedic surgeon, Mr Shash Garg, this afternoon and they fixed the date of his “hip-op” for Thursday January 27th. That date is OK with the full time carers as well so it looks “ALL SYSTEMS GO”.
Pikey is having a little more usual pain in her back caused we think by the fact that we went to the dentist on Wednesday. They make you adopt quite awkward positions either on their reclining chair which Pikey finds very uncomfortable or, as was the case on Wednesday, if they deal with you in your wheelchair when you have to lean far further back than is comfortable. However today her back pain is slightly reduced. She has booked a visit from her physiotherapist, Marie Colyer, on Monday afternoon. We call her “Sainte Marie” because she is very very helpful to Pikey.
No other news really this week which has been pretty humdrum.

So good to see you both yesterday and it's great news you've finally got a date for the Op Robert, just make sure they don't touch your sense of humour!! Fliss x
I went to the third day of the Sydney test and had to endure hours of watching Alastair Cook bat and then another innings defeat! But I am now refreshed by the excellent result of the first ODI and looking forward to several repeats in the forthcoming matches.

At least you had the courage to admit who you are!!
