HURRAY! The effing snow’s gone – and it went like a shot overnight last night.
Robert never got to the orthopaedic surgeon as we could not get up the drive. He only sees private patients on Thursday mornings and he’s off home to India for a month on Monday week so Robert will have to see him when he gets back. It’s not that much of a disaster as the operation was not planned until January anyway. So if Robert can see him on his return at the beginning of January we will not have really lost any time. Robert wants to go to him as he did his new (now old) left knee so well.
The snow has meant that poor Pikey has been stuck indoors for two whole weeks but we got out today and did a mammoth shop against the possibility of yet more Arctic conditions – yes it’s forecast.
Shopping on Fridays is never easy (even more so just before Christmas) and Booths seemed to be full of all old ladies half of whom dithered, had no shopping lists and who all left their trolleys in the middle of the aisle. The other half met a friend and gossiped. It’s bad enough with Pikey in a wheelchair – not a good experience.
Any way the cold snap did provide some good pictures from our back windows.
First a clear blue sky....
...and then a pink one.
Loads of ♥♥♥♥♥♥ from Robert and Pikey
