All the news (good or bad) from Summerhill Stables

It’s been a fruitful week.

On Tuesday Pikey had her nerve root block and cortisone injection done under X-ray at the private hospital in Preston. It all seems to be working a treat at present and the pain in her left leg has gone – whether the pain in her right leg has gone is another matter as she has no feeling in that one any way.

It all went well at the hospital although Robert managed to set off all the alarms while Pikey was in the disabled loo by leaning against an innocuous button while waiting (ever so patiently – unusual for him) outside the door. All hell broke out as the staff thought that Pikey had pulled the emergency alarm inside the loo!!!

At the same time as this was all going on Edward and Susie had their eagerly expected baby daughter, Cordelia Evelyn Holland (vide infra)

　 ...................and on Thursday Pikey’s niece, Laura and Marcus had her equally eagerly expected baby son, as yet un-named.

Note to UK based readers of this blog:- Do not worry it isn’t another UK population explosion to concern you as one was in the U S of A and the other was in Canada.

We are not flooded out. The rain yesterday stayed just north of us - we could see the balck clouds but were pretty rain spot free.
