Pikey returned to her quilting sessions on Tuesday afternoons now the school Easter holidays are over. Most of her friends call it a "Stitch n’ Bitch" session. They meet in Barbon Village Hall in some glorious country side so Brindley gets a decent walk and then Robert comes in towards the end to do the washing up – at least he knows his place and his role in life!
We have been working in the garden most days and it’s looking pretty now the flowers and blossom are coming out.
We are off to Orthotics at Lancaster on Monday morning early to collect Pikey's new boots and caliper and then we are going on to Barrow to see the haematologist. Yet another really rivetting day to which look forward.
...and yet another of Robyn’s management guidelines-
A turkey was chatting with a bull. 'I would love to be able to get to the top of that tree' sighed the turkey, 'but I haven't got the energy.'
A turkey was chatting with a bull. 'I would love to be able to get to the top of that tree' sighed the turkey, 'but I haven't got the energy.'
'Well, why don't you nibble on some of my droppings?' replied the bull. They're packed with nutrients.' The turkey pecked at a lump of dung, and found it actually gave him enough strength to reach the lowest branch of the tree.
The next day, after eating some more dung, he reached the second branch. Finally after a fourth night, the turkey was proudly perched at the top of the tree. He was promptly spotted by a farmer, who shot him out of the tree.
The moral of the story is that bull shit may get you to the top, but it won't keep you there.
Loads of love ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ from Robert and Pikey.
