All the news (good or bad) from Summerhill Stables

Robert has discovered that one of the many perils of doing family trees is that sometimes they throw up facts which make you stop and ponder life more than usual for a man of his age.

Robert’s mother’s second cousin was Rachel Kempson who married Michael Redgrave so that makes Kate, Edward, Robyn and Elinor all poor Natasha Richardson’s fourth cousins. We are not in touch with that side of the family but Robert’s first cousins are in contact with Vanessa and have sent her the link into his family web site.
We had a good week and got out into the garden. Spring has come and the lambs are back in the field behind the house. Of course they aren’t actually "back" as last year’s lambs are now somewhere else altogether.

We rather liked a set of pictures of dyed cats’ pictures from the States. Apparently some of the dye jobs cost $15,000 and have to be repeated every 3 months as the cat's hair grows out. Must be nice to have $60,000 a year just to keep your cat dyed!! What’s a credit crunch to a felinophile??
