On Sunday (the last sunny day of the whole summer?) Elinor and Phil took Pikey to Gresgarth Hall the home of Mark and Arabella Lennox-Boyd; the house is just outside Caton on the way to Lancaster. She is a garden designer and the grounds and planting were stunning.!!!

The last wall hanging Pikey finished is now hanging up at Robyn and Tony’s. One of our readers complained in an email about the pictorial content of our recent blog posts that (and we quote) "cats are all very well but there is more to life that a cute pussy" - no comment.
Pikey is working hard to get the top of a new patchwork finished and ready to be posted up to a lady who is going to quilt it. The finished article is for Annie and Pikey really finds quilting a full size bed quilt just physically too difficult to do with just an ordinary domestic sewing machine.
The quilting lady is based at Lochearnhead, north of Glasgow – we are posting it up and then going up there to stay in a nearby hotel and meeting up with Kate and the boys at the end of July.

Today John and Pat Cowdery (she used to be Robert’s secretary in the 1980’s when he worked in Windsor) came to lunch on their way down south; they live just north of Dumfries so it’s a useful watering hole and it’s always lovely to see them.
Love to all from Robert and Pikey

I really feel that I should not reveal that on grounds of privacy and decency.

At last some live reaction to the blog - come on all you shy folks let's get talking.

Thanks, Susie, for your comments on the hanging by Pikey.

I love all the photos - even the cat ones - but what about some more of Brindley or other dogs to even the score a bit?
