We got Robert’s St Petersburg cross stitch back from the framers on Wednesday and it is now in pride of place in the sitting room.
We went to see Pikey’s neuro-surgeon on Monday and he has proposed that rather than undertake yet another operation on her spine he is going to carry a Nerve Root Block which he feels could relieve some of the pain for her. It is a day case operation and has been fixed for next Thursday evening at the private hospital in Preston. She has been in there before and got very good care even though the treatment was not entirely successful.
Robert went to his heart clinic this afternoon and was told all was OK.
The weather has been frightful up here and over the weekend the trailer for Pikey’s Ferrari was blown off down the drive and into the front gates breaking the latches – all mended now and Robert has chained the trailer to the house so it can only get away when the house blows away.
