As Samuel Pepys was wont to say …. and so home.
We had a lovely weekend with the Offens at Woodstock. On Saturday Pikey drove the Ferrari round the lake at Blenheim Palace and on Sunday we went to Rousham House where she drove up some amazingly steep and rough paths which none of us thought she would be able to do.
The Ferrari really proved its worth during our week away.
On Wednesday Pikey went to have the caliper fitted to her new boots and, apart from some adjustments to be organised next week, they appear to be very helpful and reduce the pain and strain on her back and on her right hip – the artificial one.
The main pictures are of Rousham House and this one is of some gourds we saw there in a potting shed. The latter is a mere sop to Edward and Susie for Halloween when their new baby is due.
