Thursday 4th May - midday.

Robert is off to Blackpool Victoria Hospital tomorrow (Friday 5th May) for his quadruple heart bypass operation which is due on Saturday. He will be in for seven to ten days and off driving for six weeks. As Pikey can no longer drive it does make life a trifle difficult but Elinor is going to work from home while Robert is in hospital, Robyn is coming up for the first (and worst?) week after I come out and Kate is coming down for a couple of weekends. Edward has offered to come over from the States - so all in all we both think that we can cope. Lots of kind friends have offered to come up and help but, at the moment we feel that we can cope with the help of the immediate family. If we can't we will scream for help. Lots of people in Bentham have offered to fetch and carry as well.

Pikey is getting on well with a slightly altered drug regime but is still very unsteady on her pins.

She will be updating this blogspot while Robert is in hospital and so at leest the speling will be slitely beter.
